What's Up At ABAC December 2, 2020
Fun At The Club!
We are overjoyed that Avila Bay Club continues to stay open and offer members a place to be safe, healthy, and happy. We are blessed with our beautiful four acres! Please help us keep up the following club rules:
- Stop and check-in every time you come to the club. If you have a swimming or hot tub reservation, please let the desk staff know that so they can be sure to check you into your swim reservation as well. This will avoid a no-show fee on your account.
- Face coverings are required in all indoor areas (except for while in the shower) and on the tennis court walkway.
- The hot tubs CAN NOT be shared with people outside of your household. Please do not use the hot tub unless it is your reserved time. Please do not ask others to share the space with you.
- The large hot tub is ok for use by those under 16 at this time, since it is household use only.
- The small pool will be closed the week of December 7 for a complete new fiberglass job. We are very excited! We will also repair the hot tub jets during this time.

Welcome New Massage Therapist Audrey!
Audrey comes to ABAC with 26 years of experience, with an education that includes a Bachelor's Degree in Health & Human Services from CSU Sacramento, a teaching credential, and certificates in Deep Tissue, NeuroKinetic Therapy, and Sports Massage. Along with her husband, two teenage children, and a rescue dog named Paisley, she loves riding bikes, hiking, cooking together, and long beach walks.
We are so excited to have another excellent therapist available to assist you in your wellness journey. Now is a great time for a massage – take away some of that stress!

Wool Sock Drive
November 1 – December 15
Collection Bin In The Lobby At ABAC
ABAC has collected 98 pairs of socks so far
We are partnering with this amazing group to collect new wool socks, warm hats, gloves, and scarves. Wool socks are the best because they wick away the moisture from the feet and keep them warmer. These necessities will be distributed to the homeless through the 5Cities Homeless Coalition. There is one other drop off site and together we have collected about half of their goal of 500 pairs so far. Thanks so much for the donations!
After School Kids' Program
December 7th – 30th

Tennis, Swimming, Calisthenics, Plyometrics, Speed and Footwork training all in the form of games and fun drills! The main focus is fun while also introducing health and wellness to your children. Email [email protected] with any questions.
Thank You Cyndi Silva!
The Cancer Well-fit team gives a big shout out to our own Cyndi Silva for donating her time and talent in providing the recent Qigong workshop. The funds raised from the donors, sponsors and attendees are gratefully received and to be used to provide future Well-fit classes here at our club for those with cancer in our community. Thank you Cyndi and all who generously help this great program!
If you want to give Qigong a try, join one of her Zoom classes through the club on Thursdays at noon!
