2024 Dues Adjustment

Each year we evaluate if, when, and how much a dues increase might be. With all the supply, utility, and payroll cost increases this year, we do find the need to increase each membership's dues by 5%. This increase will take effect on the March 1st billing. We have seen larger increases in other businesses and tried to keep this increase as low as possible. It is a high priority of ours to conserve and be creative (one of our five core values) in how we can save money. We plan to add a red light therapy panel to the newer infrared sauna, add a new traditional sauna, replace the flooring in the weight and cardio rooms, replace some of the fitness equipment in the weight room (see our fun survey below to get your input), spruce up some of the landscaping including replacing the damaged fountain at the large pool, updating some pool systems, replacing the tennis court score cards, replacing one of the tennis ball sweepers, adding some more furniture on The Deck, improving the digital signage at the club, and finalizing the parking solutions. This is a partial list of our plans! We will keep working hard to make the club your Happy and Healthy Place!

Club Updates from General Manager Nancy Terrell

FebNLWelcomeFeb.jpg

It is hard to believe it was a year ago we were still cleaning up mud from the horrible flooding we had. We spent a lot of time this week preparing for that possibility again, and hope that we don't have to enact any of our prep during the storm coming this week and next. It has been hard canceling so many deck parties and we look forward to hanging out with you all up there soon! We noticed that Valentine's Day lands on a Wednesday this year, so we are going to have an extra special Wednesday Night Deck Party. I can't wait to see the pink popcorn! Rain will not cancel this event as we will move it indoors if needed.
We are still waiting for the new lobby dining chairs to arrive, along with our very cool rack of barbells! Sheesh!  Supply issues still directly affect us in many areas, so thanks for your patience. We did receive our cool new red light therapy panel that will go inside the newer Infrared sauna. Look for an email with instructions for it next week! This is an exciting addition that will be free for members.
We mentioned guest fees in an email recently, and want to repeat those notes here as well as keep you up to date on some other changes:

  • A guest fee will now be $25. Members will still get two free passes each month. Please make sure you greet your guest at the front desk or call us ahead to let us know someone is coming. We do not let guests in without these steps.
  • Massage and facial prices will increase by $10 per service.
  • All tennis clinics have adopted a new pricing format, where those that reserve their spot by the night before a clinic will save $5. So there now is a drop in fee that is $5 higher than a reserved spot fee. Non-members are able to use our app in a limited way, in order to reserve a spot in a clinic. Please ask a membership representative to help you get started on our app as a non-member, if you are not using it already. We would like to limit the number of calls to the front desk in order to make reservations.

FebNLReminder.jpg

We have a few reminders:

  • Parking: We realize the past couple of weeks have been hard, which is especially odd because it is winter, and we had only a few issues over the summer when we were much busier. It has a lot to do with people parking to use the trail. We have a solution in the works for that, which will not involve you all having to keep parking stickers. An additional plan that was supposed to be in place last September should also be happening soon. But PLEASE pay attention to this notice:
    • DO NOT PARK in the spots designated for a particular business. They do have a right to tow you. There are a few in the Village – look for a sign at the head of their spots and/or lettering on the asphalt of the spot.
  • Please cancel your swim, tennis, or sauna reservation prior to 4 hours from the start time, or you will receive a $10 cancelation fee.
  • Cancel your reservation if you are not coming. No shows receive a $20 fee. This has been turned off for swim lanes for a while now, but we will turn it back on as of February 1. This policy has been working well for the sauna. Please do be sure to check into the club or it will mark you as a no show for your reservations that day. We had some detail issues when we tried the no show fees for tennis and will get those worked out so we can turn it back on as of March 1.
  • Reminder that you need to have all the names on your tennis reservation for who will be playing. If you don't have at least two on an am reservation, we may cancel your reservation.
  • Cell phone policy – No talking on phones in all workout areas and locker rooms (this includes the small changing rooms in the adult women's locker room). Absolutely NO SPEAKER phone usage is allowed in any area of the club. This includes watching videos on the speaker.
  • Please put all used towels in a towel bin and throw away your trash. Fellow members complain that others do not always clean up after themselves and would really appreciate everyone helping to make this happen.
