Safety Tips From ABAC

  • Children under the age of 14 have to be supervised at all times. Parental supervision is mandatory.
  • Children between the ages of 14-17 are allowed to use the club unattended by an adult but are not allowed to supervise a child under the age of 14.
  • Starting January, 2020 all guests will need an updated guest waiver. Please keep this in mind when bringing minors (under 18) as your guest. The waiver can be completed online or in person at the front desk. The great news is that this waiver will be valid for two years!
  • Please help keep down the spread of germs by wiping down your equipment after use. Wetwipes and sanitizer spray bottles can be found in all of the workout rooms.
  • Please do not move the umbrellas on the pool deck. They are heavy and we do not want someone to get hurt. There is plenty of shade on the south side of the pool, or you can ask an employee for assistance.

Congratulations to Employee of the Month

Cierra Heacock!

Cierra has worked at ABAC for over a year now. Her favorite part about working here is the feeling of being a part of a team that works so hard, and cares so much about each other. Truly a happy place to be. She enjoys traveling, hiking, running, paddle boarding, and spending time with her family and friends. Something most of us might not know about her is that her main hobby is painting and drawing. She has a small business to sell her paintings and prints, using unique canvases and designs, and she loves every second of it! We look forward to seeing some more of your art Cierra (she showcased some at our recent Arts & Crafts Faire). Congratulations on this well deserved award Cierra!

Celebrating Birthdays

Meet Dave! He celebrated his 70th birthday with us here at ABAC. I truly admire this man and his dedication to staying in shape and living a healthy life. I have been able to see him maintain his strength and even get stronger, improve his mobility, flexibility, and power through injuries because he has made his health a priority. Having a personal trainer keeps him accountable and safely pushing through for all over improvement. He is one of my favorite clients and inspires me with his dedication to working hard. The man looks, acts, and feels no where near 70! Let's all learn from him! Happy Birthday Dave!

Human Connection

While standing at the coffee machine the other morning I noticed such a beautiful event. In such a busy and sometimes isolating world our club offers one of the most important elements to our health. Human connection. I observed several people waiting patiently for their turn for coffee introduce themselves and ask about each other's day. The smiles were genuine and it was a wonderful PAUSE from life's sometimes hectic schedule. It made me feel grateful for not only our amazing members but the one cup coffee machine that allows us to remember what is truly important to us all. Each other.
